Warning to anyone thinking of purchasing off freedom. Unless you can walk out with the stock in your hands, don’t even bother ordering anything. Their time frames are not accurate at all. Ordered something in November, told early January delivery. That moved to late January, just got off the phone to be told late March. Absolutely useless. Second time this has happened. I see I’m not the only one experiencing these issues. How are you even still operating??

These chairs look lovely. I got one and it's so uncomfortable!! Need chair pads to go on it or it's too scratchy to sit on.

I too have had an absolutely shocking customer service experience- I have been waiting over two months for a product and no one will answer calls or return emails or facebook messages to me....I would steer clear!!

Yes, super bad service and especially if you have warrenty issues. Products have been made poorly, lack in communication if any, months to get products.. list goes on and on... Such a shame as they use to be such a great company.

I too have had a horrendous experience with Freedom Furniture. Paid for chairs - no delivery - not until I contacted them a month later I am told no stock available. Now I am still waiting to get my money refunded! Terrible customer service. Never again

Again instead of focusing on pretty pictures why don’t u focus on customer service!!! I spoke to customer service on Monday and expressed my frustration at lack of response and service and they took my details and assured me someone would call me back by Wednesday! We r one of the lucky ones that got our table before expected timeframe. From what I gather they take orders and payment in full then rely on containers arriving on time from China etc. they need to maybe get a bigger warehouse and stock items in Australia before taking people’s money. I’m sure if freedom got deposits they would care about when their customers get their stock. Luckily I did not get the chairs I wanted from them was a 26 week wait time wtf

Ordered 3 x lounges in August - 1st delivery date in December- no show, 2nd delivery date truck broke down, 3rd delivery - IT issues, 4th delivery - no show and now freight company informs us that they don’t have our lounge. Castle Hill won’t answer their phone line, head office are non existent, extremely frustrating and time wasting. Went into Castle Hill on Friday to try and sort it out - was suppose to receive an email yesterday informing us - no email. Looks like they have cash flow issues. Very sad to see Freedom going down.

Can someone please just answer a phone in the store. No answering machine service is ridiculous. I am trying to organise a pick up time and I can’t even get through on the phone.

Not restricted to Freedom- I think the issue is that these companies hold very little stock even in their warehouses- I ordered a coffee table from Early Settler in the sale in June/July, told it would be early September but didn't arrive until November. 4-5 month wait for a coffee table!

Hi freedom australia. I raised a warranty claim on 28th Jan and have not yet had a call back regarding resolution. As the order was placed online, the local store is not able to assist. The return is for Baxter Buffet which arrived with bubbling to the top veneer. It's taking up room in my house as I've left partially boxed, I need a resolution! My claim number is 76974. Please get in touch.

Don't bother buying any furniture from Freedom, I'm still waiting 7 weeks later for my Parque bed, don't know how many times I've rung to get an update, what's the point of advertising sales if you don't have the stock!

I would not recommend Freedom to anybody. It has been the worst customer service experience and the lack of communication has been unbelievable. We used the Interior Design service (can't fault their designer- the only positive aspect of our experience) and placed a large order back in November. We have had faulty items delivered, deliveries cancelled without any communication, and we are still waiting on items that were supposedly "available now" back in November when we paid for them. Items that we paid for in full have subsequently been discontinued. We have been promised return calls from the manager and have heard nothing. It has been an absolute circus. PLEASE take your money and go somewhere else.

Don’t shop with Freedom. Ridiculous waiting times for items that they say they have in stock. Expect to wait months and just have a reply 1-2 weeks until delivery every 1-2 weeks! Such bad customer service!!!

omg I am definitely going to cancel my order been waiting 8 weeks now for a sofa I was also told was in stock, advised someone would be calling with weekly updates have only had information (which has been nothing "we don't know anything, we cant see whats on the truck") when I have called them. What is going on at Freedom? You have really dropped the ball! Does your phone work? Perhaps you could get someone to answer it if it does. I came in to your store 2 weeks ago to follow up on an order and was told that someone would call me back - have I heard from anyone? No! Have I tried calling you - Yes! Repeatedly for the last week and a half. Has anyone answered? No! I ordered an ottoman in December, a week later I got a text telling me to arrange a time for pick up, so I off I go to collect. The lovely young man working in your pick up area started looking for it and removed nearly half of the stock in the process (on a 40 degree day) then asked to see the text - turns out it was ready for pick up but from the distribution centre in Sydney. Now why would I order something from a Newcastle store to then drive down to Sydney to collect - laughable. He apologises and says he will go get his manager. Well obviously the manager is too busy to come down so the young man says to leave it with him and he will get it sorted out, I should have the ottoman by late January. Come February I still haven't heard anything so I come in to the store. The service in store is atrocious - 10 minutes to get served. I explain the problem and the lady looks up my order, nothing has been changed - it is still slotted for pickup from the distribution centre. She says she can't do anything for me but will print out the order and make a note for admin to call me in the coming week. Well I am still waiting for them to make contact, in the meantime I have started calling and we all know how that has ended. I like Freedom - I have shopped with you a number of times and been happy, but this is beyond a joke. Not happy!

Waiting 3 months now for a table.

What is the name of the breakfast cushion?

Freedom is beyond a joke. I asked for a refund last week on an item I have been wAiting for since first week of October. I was promised delivery for this Saturday and to expect a call on Wednesday. I have spoken to over 20 people from freedom and uni trans All I want too know is if I am getting my table or not? Customer suooort can’t do something simple like call me back as promised. I have spent over 15k at freedom and this will be my last purchase with them.

Very dissapointed in Freedom don't place an order with them or you may have to wait a long time like I have had to. I ordered the Lucas 3 seater lounge on 19th of September 2019 and NO SIGN OF IT ARRIVING!! When I finally got on to someone the man he was not very polite at all, said well it has to be made in CHINA! I think I deserve free delivery and collection of my old lounge when they finally decide to send it,I wish I'd purchased elsewhere.

My drama with Freedom begins. I have been waiting for a mattress to come in for a swap over. 4 weeks overdue. Many steps and phone calls ahead. They have the stock but because it's not a straight up delivery. They needed to call me back. They didn't call. There's a customer service number but it's only Monday to Thursday. They don't call me and they won't pick up the phone.

Absolutely terrible service!! Ordered a dresser in early December, and was told it would be ready for collection in 4 weeks. Waited 6 weeks before following up. Nobody replies to emails or picks up the phone. Submitted one of their online forms only to be told someone would get back to me in TEN business days! Finally sent a message via facebook to try and get in touch with a real person, and was told the item wouldn't be available for another 16 WEEKS! That's 22 weeks in total! I could get something handmade and shipped from Europe in that time. And nobody even thought to notify us of the change. FINALLY managed to get through to store staff, who was very apologetic and luckily gave me a refund immediately. Store staff sounded stressed and I felt sorry for them.

Spent $12k with you! Thanks for delivering our dining table with not ETA on our chairs πŸ‘πŸ» First time I brought furniture (only homewares in the past) and have to say how outterly disappointed we are with your service. You are the only place I know where we have to pay in full without knowing when I am actually getting our products. Your stores are all understaffed and never answer phones and no one can provide us with an ETA on anything. I think too much time time and effort spent on social media and pretty pictures and not enough on customer service post sale!

FREEDOM FURNITURE, I have been a customer of yours for many years up until now! My mother just purchased a premium leather 2 seater lounge and the quality of workmanship compared to my 7 year old Freedom lounge is absolute chalk and cheese! To top it off the lack of customer service and incompetence is really disappointing!! The amount of times we have tried to make contact or been told they will return calls is ridiculous. We even sent an email mid last week and with no reply! And again a phone call today with a - we will call you back and that was several hours ago. Appalling service.

Hi freedom australia, I ordered a book shelf and console on 01/12/19, was told that they would be ready for collection from the Kings Park depot 3 weeks from my order date. It’s now 2 months since I placed my order and I have no furniture. I’ve called the store on several occasions and been promised that the Manager would get back to me which hasn’t happened. I’ve lodged an online complaint asking for an update and had no response either. I have no idea if and when I will be receiving my furniture or who can assist me. It’s been an awful experience.

We waited about 8 months to receive our order. Most items have gone through warranty which takes over 4 months to be resolved. Do not buy furniture from Freedom. Something tells me they are about to go into receivership based on all the complaints on social media.

I ordered a coffee table and was told it would take 1-3 weeks 4 weeks later I am told it could be 3-4 more weeks and that’s if I get one allocated to me if not I will have to wait for the next shipment who knows when that is are you kidding ?? Not happy!!! 😑

After endless wasted time waiting for cancelled deliveries, making phone calls to hopeless service centre staff, completing online forms no one ever answers, and having the matter escalated twice from my complaints here on Facebook, today I received HALF of my bookcase. So that's both ordering system problems and delivery system problems 😠

The most incompetent business in Australia! We ordered 6 dining chairs in December and they STILL haven’t been delivered. Numerous calls to customer service only to be told “oh sorry”. Not good enough and will never shop with Freedom again.

We have been waiting for 6 weeks for our furniture (which was in stock when we ordered it). I can't get through your phone at the Fyshwick store, and I have had no response to my e-mails. We finally went back to the store to check and were told that someone would get in touch with us this week. No communication at all. We understand delays can happen but at least respond to our e-mails or phone calls and let us know where things are at.

We are also having issues with delivery of our furniture that was apparently in stock when we placed order at Windsor store on Dec 30 2019. Extremely disappointed. Someone has responded to my phone enquiries but apparently it is going to take another 4-5 days to receive a call from Melbourne which may tell me that further delays will be experienced.

Same experience on delivery. No communication. No one answering the phone. Can someone from #freedom please get in touch with me? Can see why people are flocking to direct purchases that have a delivery time of 4 hours.

Buyers beware of this company I placed an order and paid for a bedroom suite December 2.2019 followed up with local store yesterday to see where my order is to be told they would have to find out today but more than likely it had been sold to someone else some cock and bull story about the order system that allowed more to be sold than they had stock for , how can they expect me to believe they took my money and over 2 mths later and only when I followed up as to where the goods are I was Told there have been customers that ordered goods in aug last year and have now been told they cannot supply and oh we will give u a refund but prefer you purchase something else This is down right theft talk about using other people’s Money How can a show like the block even associate with this company No call Today until I followed up and yep guess what sorry we can’t supply the goods you paid for but you can put money towards something else Yeah like I will ever deal with you ever again

I’m also disillusioned with the customer service team - paid $3,300 for furniture on 18/12, to be delivered in 2-4 weeks. No communication received from Freedom to date, despite email and repeated phone calls. The store won’t answer calls and I have no idea when (or if) I will receive my furniture. Now nearly 2 months since ordering - totally unimpressed with Freedom!

I've also been waiting since December. No help at all from customer service. No response after a month to their online forms. Here on Facebook they ask you to DM them to get you off public messaging. I DMd them two weeks ago and a guy called and asked me to wait 2 weeks. So, here we go again. I waited like an idiot and still Freedom has my money and I have nothing. I've already had one journalist conatct me.

Alright freedom this is getting beyond ridiculous. Been waiting for an order since November, weekly I receive calls to say it’ll be in next week that was 12 weeks of calls telling me this. Just as I was about to cancel my order and get my money back to go else where I got a text saying it’s ready to be picked up. Put my date in ready to go (was ment to be getting it tomorrow ) only to receive a call today saying there wasn’t enough stock and my order missed out. WHY NOT ORDER THE CORRECT AMOUNT?! I NOW WILL BE CANCELING MY ORDER AND GOING ELSE WHERE IF NONE OF YOUR STORES CAN GIVE ME THEIR FLOOR STOCK. No point displaying/ selling an item it if it’s never going to come.

Hi Freedom, I’m at a cross road. I’ve been needing to organise a return for WEEKS and every time I call up I can only get through to your reception who say I will be contacted in 2 DAYS!!! I HAVE NOW CALLED AND GOT THE SAME RESPONSE 6 TIMES!! I went into the store and they told me the manager is away for another 2 weeks and I couldn’t talk to anyone else. How ridiculous. Where do I go from here ? I have been really understanding and patient but I am getting so frustrated now. I can’t even call this bad customer service, because I haven’t even had any 🀷🏼‍♀️🀷🏼‍♀️ The fact that’s customers can only get your attention from a Facebook post must be so bad for business, surely you need to look into making some changes.

Don’t buy from this crack pot company! Waited since June last year for two bedside tables! Spend hours on phone to moore park store and nobody answers! Called 1800 number to be told that I should drive to the store! Really??? There are no complaints number or website! They hide from complaints! I spent tens of thousands over the years! Never again!

Do not buy from this company I paid for an outdoor setting on the 28th of November and it still has not arrived.

Worst company . I have waited 16 weeks for a marble table , I been told delivery was scheduled For today by unitrans.. when I called uni trans was told they don’t even have my table. Hi Freedom, I have been waiting since Thursday for a phone call in relation to be hung up on numerous times by a store manager and being abused. Is someone ever going to call.

I ordered my sofa, coffee table, armchairs and few other things in Nov 2019 @ Chadstone Store. At the time of purchase I was advised that everything will be ready to be delivered in 4-6weeks. Its almost Feb2020 Still waiting... After multiple follow ups and store visits, I got advised that order shud be delivered soon but still no date has been confirmed Whats this nonsense???? Is this a joke??? I paid for my order in full on spot. Absolute SHAME!!! Can someone please chase my order or contact me? This company has lost all their honesty and ethics. Escalating request means nothing. Mine has been escalated TWICE apparently and I still have no phone call advising delivery and NO FURNITURE but Freedom has payment in full.

Freedom Furniture Balgowlah I have been trying to contact the store in regards to my lounge which was purchased in November. No one is answering the phone and i still haven't received an update on when i will receive my lounge - its been 3 MONTHS! This is the worst service i have ever received!

Hi The Freedom Team, I finally gave in and requested a refund for furniture I paid for and did not receive. I really want the furniture because I love it and we need it but I just do not trust that it will ever arrive. I finally received great service from the store manager after I mentioned I had been speaking to Fair Trading. I received my refund. You know what, if and when the furniture comes in I would still love to buy it. So how about it Freedom, let’s see if you really can extend fantastic customer service to me by informing me when the furniture arrives in stock and then I will repurchase it all at the prices I originally paid as long as I receive a delivery date. Second chances don’t come along often. Yours sincerely

I have had the same experience. I ordered an outdoor setting in November with a 1 to 3 week delivery time. The furniture never arrived and I have had to follow it up on numerous occasions. I finally received a call from the store today and they told me they have to cancel the order as the setting is no longer available... They have had my money since November!!

Freedom products are all beautiful, but it’s really not worth the headache and the stress I’ve had to go through dealing with their customer service. My local store doesn’t even answer the phone and I’ve called 20 times, head office can’t even help me... I ordered my products in December, I was meant to get them in January and it’s now February! Freedom have taken my full money and give me no products. Oh and the best part is one of the products is now discontinued and they won’t even refund me my money... i’m furious!

Can someone anyone at Freedom do your job and call me back with an update PLEASE!!!! I have never felt so insulted and disrespected as a paying customer.. Kotara NEVER answer phones and whilst we have been patient and understanding to this point when advised they are short staffed frankly right now that is NOT MY PROBLEM! We should not have to drive over 1HR to get an update on store. It is embarrassing!!! I have a dinning table no chairs I have a modular with a missing piece so it’s too small and an ottoman all missing with no update in sight! Waiting on a call from the manager of the Fyshwick store to discuss compensation for over a week!! Interior designer was great , escalation team have been great (even though our order should never have need to be escalated) but any type of response from staff in the store including the manager non existent!!!

Freedom you need to work out your supply of stock. We purchased dining chairs and a sofa lounge in September 2019 and 6 weeks later received 6 dining chairs and only the ottoman for our lounge as our order had gone to another customer. So advised us to come in store for $500 refund off of lounge and then another 6 week wait. So 2 days ago we were told our lounge was ready and delivery would be for this Friday. Today received another phone call from Freedom to say lounge is not ready and could not give us a date as to when it would be ready. Honestly how hard is to make a left side chase. Stock right side chase is still on show room floor as I speak. So today went down to Freedom and took back the ottoman as there is no lounge to go with it and got our money back. We will not be back ever to shop and buy furniture with you as you have no idea if you actually are going to get what you want in store to purchase. I am just glad we did not throw our old couch out as we would be sitting on the floor. Terrible service and I feel sorry for your front line staff who have to deal with all your companies stuff ups! You really need to get yourself organised as your retail service at the moment is below average. Ended up buying another lounge at Harvey Norman. Guess Freedom don’t really want our money or our customer patronage. We were planning on updating a lot of our home furniture and spending a decent amount of money at Freedom but that will not be the case now nor in the future! Goodbye Freedom looks like you have just lost another customer.

Freedom you are an absolute joke! Ordered ONE occasional chair at the start of November and was told it was going to be delivered at the start of December. After multiple phone calls and visits to store (Frankston) and told different stories/lies I was today told that they didn’t make enough stock therefore a refund was required... where was the phone call or follow up?? It was always me enquiring and being told that someone would be in contact which they never were! You have the worst customer service. Never shopping here again.

Thinks it's time fair trading and ASIC find out about the poor service, poor quality, poor timeframes and poor money management Freedom!

Been trying to place an order online for days – the order fails to place. Despite there being a known issue that Freedom have since admitted Freedom take no steps to assist. They just say visit your local store. Isn’t the point of a online store to place orders online? The websites not just a catalogue. Message online and get a response from Natalie Brockhurst who manages this page. All she can do is apologises, offers no help – it’s clear she’s lost interest. Gave Freedom’s company that owns them and other companies a call on 0298829100. All you get is voice mails left with no return phone numbers. Rather clear Freedom don’t want business nor to help customers. Yet Freedom will be the first to complaint when they go into liquidation or similar as many business are they might reflect on the customer service provided and wonder why. I did give Freedom the opportunity to rectify the problem, they made no attempt hence this post.

Bought a King Bed in Mid November. Get told we will have some notice as to when it'll arrive. Starts out well with a Day of delivery given to us, and informed that we will have a few hours warning before it arrives - so we can be ready to take delivery. Get a call on the day, later with all of 15min notice of delivery . No way of getting home that quick. Get told to reschedule. No notifications over Christmas, what with everything going on - that's fine. Finally make a call to Freedom and find out that it's been delivered? No, we're still sleeping on an ancient queen mattress on the floor? Finally get someone to chase it up, apparently it was given to someone else, and we need to wait Every time the store is called, we get told it's been escalated or it's being dealt with. Still no bed. At which point do we get a bed, a refund, or we all applying to be creditors?

Sleep easy?! Anyone who orders a mattress (or any other item) from freedom won’t be sleeping easy. Freedom and their delivery partner Unitrans are a NIGHTMARE to deal with - if you can even manage to get a hold of them.

I ordered my sofa, coffee table, armchairs and few other things in Nov 2019 @ Chadstone Store. At the time of purchase I was advised that everything will be ready to be delivered in 4-6weeks. Its almost Feb2020 Still waiting... After multiple follow ups and store visits, I got advised that order shud be delivered soon but still no date has been confirmed Whats this nonsense???? Is this a joke??? I paid for my order in full on spot. Absolute SHAME!!! Can someone please chase my order or contact me? This company has lost all their honesty and ethics. So so so disappointed in Freedom 😑 Can ACCC complaint be made against Freedom?

Buyer beware. I purchased mattress 28 Dec from Aspley store and still waiting. I only live 10 mins away. I am now getting the run around as no one can give me an ETA. Store Manager has to escalate. What a joke.

I ordered furniture Nov 30 and paid in full. No sign of my furniture. Rang store several times who said they would get back to me. NOBODY HAS GOT BACK TO ME, not even store manager who promised he would in 1 to 2 hours. Freedom service is a joke. You have my money now where is my furniture?

I dont like the fact you have to pay, in full, and then wait months for your order. Every other furniture retailer I've dealt with has a deposit, then rest just before delivery.

Freedom Fyshwick has terrible customer service. I ordered and paid for 4 kitchen stools several weeks ago and said I would collect from the store. I tried calling the number on the invoice several times but no-one ever answered the phone. I then went into the store today. When I explained this to the member of staff she told me "oh - we don't answer the phone". I was completely shocked and asked for clarification to which she just repeated " Oh no, we don't answer the phone. Someone will call you when your goods are ready for you to come and pick up." No apology, no explanation. She then looked at my invoice and said that "It will take at least 5 weeks - it's usually 4 but we were closed all last week". When I pointed out that the invoice said they were ready now, she replied "oh that's wrong - our computer system has a glitch so just ignore that". I am so stunned by her response which was abrupt and rude with absolutely no empathy for the customer or any assistance. Absolutely appalling. And Freedom - honestly - can you not train staff to answer the phone - or at least have a message on the automated response explaining no-one will ever pick up so don't bother calling. Also surely sorting out your computer system so customers have a more realistic idea about timeframes would be a good idea? You can do so much better than this.

Hi @freedom_australia, Me again. I was so surprised to hear from someone finally that I almost fell off my broken sofa!! Shame it was from a donotreply email address and had no other contact info. Do you think I heard from someone in 2-3 days as communicated? NOPE!! 38 days and counting. It's not rocket science, it's just good customer service.

That would be great if you could actually deliver on your promise. I ordered my mattress 4 weeks ago, estimated delivery was 1-3 weeks. I’m told you don’t know where it is and maybe I should cancel my order!! REDICULOUS!!

Don’t shop with Freedom. Ridiculous waiting times for items that they say they have in stock. Expect to wait months and just have a reply 1-2 weeks until delivery every 1-2 weeks! Such bad customer service!!!
